The Wireman Who Carried the Others' Grief

About this piece

When rust first began spreading across the metal world, before Vida descended to save what remained, some of the Wiremen turned to quiet devotion, building small shrines from scrap wood and wire to mark what they were losing. This piece depicts one of those shrines directly — a figure with arms drawn along a simple wooden cross, head bowed, and a second, smaller kneeling figure at its base, hands folded in prayer. It's the most solemn scene in the entire AndyMan collection, built to honor the grief that came before the hope. This handcrafted wire art piece uses dark, aged-toned wire for both figures, mounted together on a round wood base beside a small candle in a glass holder, the flame implied rather than shown. Every curve of the cross and both bodies was formed and set entirely by hand, with no casting or molds, which is part of what makes this a genuinely one-of-a-kind wire sculpture rather than a reproduction. For collectors drawn to quieter, more reflective pieces, this collectible wire figurine works as a meaningful addition to a mantel or reading nook. As a handmade metal figurine with real weight and stillness to it, it also makes a thoughtful, unique wire art gift for someone going through a hard season.
