Commission

Every Commission Begins With a Story.

Fully bespoke. Built from scratch, shaped around your materials, your memory, your meaning. Andreas works with you from first conversation to finished edge.

The Object You're After

A commissioned knife is not a configured product. It is a collaboration — the maker's skill applied to the specific thing you need to exist in the world. Perhaps it carries a material with personal history: wood from a family property, antler from a hunt, metal you've held onto. Perhaps the meaning is the occasion itself: a retirement, a marriage, a milestone that deserves something permanent.

Andreas has built pieces around both. He begins each commission from scratch, and he will not begin the next one the same way.

The Process

The commission form takes you through the details: blade style, steel, handle material, sheath, and the personal context that shapes the work. Andreas reviews every submission personally before moving forward. The process is a dialogue, not a transaction.

A $1,000 non-refundable startup deposit is required to begin. This secures your place in the queue and the maker's time. The deposit is applied toward the final piece. Timeline runs 16–32 weeks from confirmed start — Andreas does not rush work, and this is the guarantee you want.

What Comes With It

Every piece Andreas has made carries lifetime sharpening. Ship it back at any point — he will restore the edge and return it within 5–7 business days of receipt, at no charge, for the life of the knife. The commission is not the end of the relationship.

A Note on the Deposit

The $1,000 startup deposit is non-refundable. It is not a fee — it is the beginning of a made object. It represents the first hours of design, the sourcing of materials, the commitment of the maker's calendar. Consider it the moment the work begins.
